The yard is set in the heart of the Cotswolds in the small village of Bourton on the Water. The stables are in an American style barn, which is bright and has plenty of fresh air flowing through.

The Gallop
We have a five furlong all weather gallop.

There is an indoor and outdoor ménage which we use to break horses in, and to teach horses to jump. We also do a lot of loose schooling as the horses not only enjoy jumping without a rider but it also teaches them to have better balance and not to totally rely on their jockey.

Schooling Fences
We have four hurdles and four fences set out in a field, so the horses always get into a good rhythm and enjoy going out to do some schooling before going to the races.

The Walker
We have a large six bay horse walker.

Equine Spa
The spa is like a Jacuzzi for horses only the temperature of the water is only 2 degrees this is to bring the heat out of the injury and stimulate blood flow to enable an injury to heal faster. The water also contains salts and chlorine, so open wounds can also be treated. The spa can be used for a number of reasons:
–  Tendon injuries
–  Sore shins
–  Strains
–  Abscess in the foot
–  Open wounds
–  Prevention, ie if a horses has just had a tough race

We have about 30 acres of turnout. We make sure that horses are always turned after they have been racing, and when the weather is fine we try to give them at least an hour out in the paddock after they have been on the gallop. Our aim is to keep all of our horses fresh and happy so that they enjoy their work.
